Abilene

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Abilene and it was so nice. The girls had a blast and Kate did not want to go home. She said, "We didn't stay for a long time." This is the second time that while we were there we had the girls sleep in a queen bed together. We let them have their own blankets to avoid fights and they absolutely loved it! It is so sweet to see them laying side by side. They are such good buddies despite their differences. God blessed us with wonderful weather so we spent a lot of time outside. It was quite the adventure driving there and driving home because we took Zack's truck. We were bringing Zack's dad some cabinets and therefore needed to bring the truck. The back seat was lined with three carseats with no space between them. The floor was packed with things both in the front and back. Then, to top it all off we had Dixie in the middle seat between Zack and me in the front! The girls really enjoyed it, but it was a little difficult with Claire. Overall, it made for a good memory. We had a wonderful weekend, but as always it wasn't long enough.

They were very sweet to make a birthday cake for me and let me blow out candles. My birthday was the previous Monday.

Abilene would not be the same without Kate getting her nails done. Unfortunately, Kate can be quite particular about what she wants done. Mom Mom always works really hard to make them look professionally done.

Zack and I truly did not think about how when we named Claire that if the P was put in the middle her initials would be CPR. I was given this embroidered outfit as a gift with the P being bigger in the middle since it is our last name.

The girls also love to get out all of Mom Mom's jewelry and play dress-up.

On Saturday evening we went to a new park to let the girl's  play by the Abilene Zoo. We had a great time! It ended up being quite a bit cooler than what I thought it was going to be. However, the girl's did not seem to be bothered.

Claire getting love from Mom Mom. I love  it when Claire looks at me like this. Whenever you are holding her she will just look back at you to interact with you and check to see who is holding her. It is priceless!

Our first night there the girls requested that Mom Mom and Dad Dad put them to bed.  Special memories.

Carly singing some different songs that she made up for everybody.  Our favorite song was about Easter . Carly was singing about an egg and saying "It's not Easter" over and over again.

Mom Mom got the girls a little present that they loved! It is a little dry eraser board with dry eraser crayons.

Kate was so excited to put on her current favorite shirt. She knew we had packed the ice cream shirt and was so excited to put it on. She looks so big!
