Broken Bow

We went with the Pruett Clan to Broken Bow OK the first week in July. We made some wonderful memories while we were there. Kate, Carly, Cole and Emie shared a room with two bunk beds. I loved the evening time right before they all went to bed seeing the cousins in the same room. Bree shared a room with her parents and Claire was in our room. Mom Mom and Dad Dad had a room downstairs. The weather could not have been more perfect while we were there. It was pretty much in the 70s and 80s. We had a beautiful cabin in the woods with a spectacular view. Thank you Mom Mom and especially Lauren for finding that place. I think pretty much all of the cousins were sad to leave and wanted to stay another night. We had four wonderful nights there and five days full of relaxing and activities.

I had brought a tub of some arts and crafts that the kids could play with. Here Carly and Emie are coloring.

We took a train ride that was fun for the kids. Here I am with Carly and Claire.

Emie and Kate sat together.

Here is Bree, Cole, Aunt Lauren and Mom Mom, too.

We also went horseback riding. Carly sat in the back of Zack and Kate actually sat on her very own horse. That made me kind of nervous, but she did great! Mom Mom and Aunt Lauren were very sweet to stay back with Claire so I could go with my kids and the rest of the family.

I was in the back of the trail so I could see everybody pretty well.

Kate getting on the horse all by herself-WOW!

Look at Kate all by herself!

The Rogers Family-What a good looking family!

Our family-We crack up at this smile of Claires. We call it the old lady smile.

S'mores time!

We of course had to have S'mores a couple of nights. This just cracked us up! Carly was so proud of herself for finding this huge stick to put her marshmallow on. She said "Mommy, look!" It obviously did not work out too well but Carly was trying. It was cute and funny!

Lauren wrote a wonderful song about how we love Mom Mom for all the grandkids to sing. "We love Mom Mom and we know yes, we do....."

We had a special evening to honor Mom Mom. Mom Mom had a very special birthday this year and we wanted to have a celebration with us all together. We also wanted Mom Mom to have some special gifts after having an especially hard year. We gave her some picture frames with illustrated pictures from the kids.

Kate and Carly also memorized some verses from Proverbs 31. We felt like the verses described Mom Mom very well. It was really cute to see them say the verses with the movements. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." They are pointing to emphasize "You." When Carly would practice it she would say off instead of all. So funny!

"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."

We gave Mom Mom a special ring with all the grandkids birth stones on it.

Watermelon time!

Beautiful Emie

Being a wonderful Mom Mom and french braiding the girl's hair

Carly takes this very seriously.

Can it get any cuter? I love having girls!

Our big day on the lake!  Mom Mom and Dad Dad rented a boat for us to go out on and also go tubing.
Claire's first time with a life jacket on. She really did not like it! Anytime she had it on there were tears or frustration.

Much better! We kept her confined by putting her in her booster seat.

Zack went out on the tube with Carly and Kate separately. Zack and I also went out together but I don't have any of those pictures. Kate and Carly actually did pretty well on the tube. Kate even fell off at one time and still got back on. Dad Dad was driving and went really slow for them.

More funny faces!

All the kids love playing on our phones.

Carly was very creative and used Claire's baby toys to make pretend cookies for everybody. Here she is making a cookie for Dad Dad.

Mom Mom brought old games that she would use for Zack, Lauren and Lindsey for their birthday parties when they were little. It was fun to know let the grandkids play the same games.

Loving on Mom Mom

Claire's crying face. Ahh!

We of course had to paint nails!
