April and May

In a blink April and May are now gone! Claire started sitting up and then crawling. Kate finished preschool and we went to Abilene and Shreveport. I will post a separate post for our trip to Abilene later. Kate lost her two front teeth! We had lots of fun moments in between, too.

Kate and Carly playing out in the rain.

Even after a long day at work Zack came home and played in the rain with Kate.

I love their faces in this picture.

Carly playing in the pack and play with Claire in Shreveport .

Kate lost one of two front teeth while we were there.

Enjoying cereal for breakfast on Sunday. Here is Emie, Carly and Kate.

Emie was so sweet to set up all of her little toys for the girls to play with while we were there.

Kate and Carly spent a lot of time playing on their trampoline in their backyard. Here is their neighbor jumping with them, too.

More fun!

Cole and Kate taking a picture of their missing front tooth before we left.

A close up of her lost tooth.
Kate being a good big sister to Claire. Reading her books.

Kate and Carly helping me make some of my favorite cookies-Peanut Butter Blossoms! I always loved helping my Mom make these growing up.

My Mom gave me this outside mat for Easter and it is really nice for outside activities. The girls also enjoyed just playing on it in our backyard.

Then, Kate lost her other front tooth.  She looks so adorable with her two front teeth missing. However, it makes me a little sad to see those baby teeth gone.
We had a playdate at my sister Keari's house. Look at all those girls!

Carly loves playing with her little sister, too. This was before Claire started crawling. Now, she doesn't sit any where for very long before she is exploring again.

Ice cream on the deck. Doesn't get any better, does it?

Followed by writing with shaving cream. We were practicing writing numbers.

We like to meet at this playground with my Mom often because it is some what in the middle for all of us. That way she can bring Ellee and Isabelle who she watches in the week. It is always fun to have the cousins together. We over take the playground with all of these girls.

I love this picture of Kate and Claire. So sweet.

Zack being a wonderful Daddy. He came home and wanted to rest for awhile and the girls could not resist. They came in and just laid on top of him while he rested. Notice Carly is cutting paper. Kate and Carly love to cut paper and make creations with paper and markers.

We went on a family walk and Zack was helping the girls with their bikes.

This is Claire's first walk in the little car. She loved it. She kept her hands on the wheel the whole time. I think she really thought she was driving.

Carly only wants to ride her bike for a short while, but Kate could ride for a long time.

We also had the Baby Dedication at church. Look at all of these blessings that have been born into our families. I think they only do it once a year, or maybe twice. That is what it seems rather large.

This picture cracks me up! Zack was getting on to Carly on the stage. She seemed to think that she was performing at one time.

Claire, we celebrate you. You are such a blessing!

Our family

Since Kate's birthday is after school is out they let us have a birthday celebration for her in May. Here she is in Chapel with the preschool director.

In her class they have a tradition of the birthday child getting to choose friends to be candles. Then, they sang around Kate and she pretended to blow them out. It was so cute!

Eating the birthday cupcakes!

We celebrated Zack's birthday in May. The girls enjoyed helping blow out the candles on his pecan pie.

Enjoying my time at home with just Carly and Claire.

Here Kate is at her end of year program. They were in all sorts of different costumes. The theme was Dr. Suess .

Here she is with her friend Bethany.
Here they are singing their songs.

Then they changed into their graduation gowns. They all looked so cute!

Kate loved having Nana and Papa there to support her, too. Especially, since Zack couldn't be there due to the end of year teacher banquet.

Zack brought home these fun instruments for the girls to see that he used at the banquet. They are really loud and kind of tricky to use. I was impressed that both Kate and Carly figured it out. They looked hilarious using them, too.

My Mom gave Kamara and me this toy for our girls to play with that we also played with when we were little girls. Man, did it bring back memories. It is a fishing game.
Kate's end of year party at school.

Love these girls!

Here Kate was at the craft table.

She had a lot of fun. It has been such a blessing for Kate to go to preschool where we  also go to church. So many of her church friends were also in her preschool class.

Here is a new playground in Frisco by Kamara's house. It is called the Frisco Commons and has always been a great playground, but they recently updated it to make it even nicer.

Our friends Harper and Owen, and Lydia and John David joined us, too.

In May we also got the girls big beds. We had been looking on Craigslist for months to try to find some twin beds for them. Finally, we found some new beds that this guy was selling very cheap. Zack drove to Arlington to pick them up. We had to rearrange their room a little bit to make it all fit, but it looks good. They have absolutely loved their new beds!

Getting ready to put the beds in.

Carly helping Zack put the beds together.

First time in their new beds. Don't they look so big? Or do they look so small in their big beds?

I some times buy bucther paper to roll out for the girls to color on.  They always enjoy having their own large sheet of paper to color on.

I love capturing the moments of them just playing and interacting together. Here they are doing bubbles.

Again Carly helping Zack out and watching as he fixes our oven. I am so thankful that I married a handy man!

Kamara and I took Aubrey and Kate to see Epic. It was cute. I don't know if Kate liked the movie better or the snacks. Aunt Kamara loaded us up with candy.

Meanwhile, Carly was playing in the rain with Daddy.
Claire loves bath time!

Claire started crawling in May and the girls have loved crawling on the floor with her!

One evening the girls were playing in water and they asked to put these bandanas on, too. It was so cute.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese on Memorial Day for one of my nephews birthday parties. Here Claire is with Aunt Lori.

Kate had her last gymnastics class until August or September. I am so glad that we put her in gymnastics at WOGA Gymnastics. It was a really good fit for her. Next year we will put Carly in a class, too.

My Mom treated us to Legoland last week along with Kamara, Hannah, Aubrey, Ryleigh, Isabelle and Ellee.

Carly crashed on the way home. I love how she is holding the lego that she got at Legoland.

Later that night the girls enjoyed playing out in the rain with their boots and umbrellas.

We have had a fun couple of months!
