Abilene

For Mother's Day weekend we went to Abilene to celebrate Mother's Day, Mom Mom's birthday, and Zack's birthday. It was such a great weekend. The girls were sad to leave.

Claire got her first experience with swinging in Abilene. This swing has had lots of happy kids in it. All three of my girls have loved this swing.

Here Kate is at 10 months old. Just one month older than Claire, but look at all of those teeth! Kate got her teeth so early. Still so cute, though.
Here Carly is on the same swing. She was about a year and a half here.

Back to the present. Here Kate was enjoying the slide in Abilene.

Celebrating Mom Mom! We had a yummy dinner on Saturday night along with birthday/Mother's Day present for Mom Mom.

A new coffee pot!

Hanging out in the backyard.

Claire enjoying bath time.

Ice cream time!

Mom Mom was very sweet to paint their nails.

Letting their nails dry.
We also went to the Abilene Zoo while we were there. We had a wonderful time!

Feeding the fish

It is amazing how many fish are swarming to catch the food!

Of course feeding the giraffes are always one of their favorite parts!

It is amazing how long their tongues are!

Claire took her morning nap in the stroller while walking around the zoo. So precious!

While Kate and Carly were enjoying their graham crackers for a snack we went to visit the monkeys. It was so cute because this particular monkey came up to the glass next to Carly with his hand up to Carly's hand. Another person watching said he was doing the please symbol because he wanted the cracker. AHHH! I don't know if that is true or not, but it was so sweet.

Claire did a great job while we were there. Here we are walking out.
Claire had fun playing with the different toys at Mom Mom and Dad Dad's house.

Love that smile!
We also celebrated Zack's birthday while we were there. Mom Mom made one of her specialities-apple pie! Yum!  Carly is waiting with Zack to blow out his candles.

Happy Birthday Zack!

We had such a great time in Abilene for the weekend. The girls did not want to leave! We then had a quiet ride home with Claire and Carly both sleeping.
