A couple of weeks ago, we moved Carly into Kate's room. It is always such a bittersweet moment to move your child out of the crib and into a toddler or big girl bed. It really just makes them turn into little girls when you move them out of their crib. I love watching my girls grow and change, but I also want to hold on to every stage of their life and not forget what they were like at that time. So how is it going? Well, the girls are loving sharing a room! Carly has had a couple of nights of walking down the hall I think more out of fear. We have had a couple of nights of them not going to sleep till 10:30 pm due to talking, playing and just adjusting to somebody else being in the room. Naptime is even more challenging, but it has been about three weeks and I feel like we are almost completely adjusted. They are getting used to each other's noises and sleeping through them. We are developing new routines. It just warms our hearts to go into their room and see them both sound asleep in the same room. I spent the majority of my life sharing a room with Kamara. In fact, I only had three years of my life having my own room before I married. I have so many treasured memories of us talking together. We fully expect that they are going to have to do some talking before falling asleep. It is the getting out of bed that we don't allow. I also just see their relationship growing and changing now sharing a room. There is nothing sweeter than seeing them interact together as not only sisters but friends. The other day Kate said, "Carly is my best friend." Priceless.

| Carly's last night in her crib. |
| Now in her toddler bed |
| I added some things from her nursery to make it her room, too. Her name, her verse with her name in it, and some pictures. |
| Kate and Aubrey playing at Aubrey's house. They always love to wear the dress up clothes! I think it is so funny that Aubrey's skirt is tucked into her underwear. |
| Carly likes the dress up clothes, too! |
| Carly and Ryleigh waiting for lunch. Carly loves to make this face when she is being shy or caught being funny. |
| Another great one! |
| Here Kamara and Rod are telling the Tate Family that they too are going to have a baby girl! |
| Rod and Zack are going to have to stick together having families with all girls! |
| Kate and Aubrey went to see their cousins Will and Kale in the Grapevine musical "Sleeping Beauty." Kate loved getting to dress up as a princess for it and having a tea party with the cast afterwards. She was a little shy and uneasy around some of the cast, especially the witch though. |

| Kate and Aubrey together |
| Kate with her good friend Harper seeing the Lorax at the dollar theater. They loved sharing this big bag of popcorn between the two of them. |
| For VBS at our church Zack was the character "Light Man." He made this character into a Super Hero and the kids loved it! He did such a good job and was so funny. He is so talented with this kind of stuff. |
| He had rope lights around his chest that would light up when he was making good choices and bringing light to others. |
| A picture of Kate just waking up when we were in Abilene. As soon as she got up she went to find her "stuff" as she calls it before walking into the living room. Her "stuff" always includes some kind of purse or bag. |
| We went to a Paint Party place in Plano with some church friends and their children. Kate painted this butterfly all by herself and it really turned out good. Carly went too, but decided that she didn't want to paint anything. |
| Some of the Tate family and children went to Fair Park to see "Peter Pan." Poor Carly was so broken hearted that she could not go. It was an 8:00 pm showing and way too late for her. Plus, we didn't think she was ready to sit that long. I did however make sure that she got a picture with Mommy. She also got to spend some quality time with Daddy. |
| Kate all dressed up and ready to go. |
| Kamara and I took Kate and Aubrey to eat at Abuelo's before the musical. |
| They loved intermission when they got to sip on our cokes and eat a snack. No, I do not regularly give my child coke! I figured she needed a little boost of caffeine to stay up for the rest of the musical. Overall, I thought she did a pretty good job sitting for it. |
| The other night Zack took these pictures of Kate as she was playing with the hose while watering the grass. She absolutely loved pouring the water all over her. I love these pictures that he captured. It really shows her joy. |
I know it seems like from this post that Carly has been getting the shaft on all the fun! There were just some things that Kate was ready for this summer and Carly just needs another year before she can start going to musicals, plays and movies. We have really enjoyed the little things that we have gotten to do with both girls this summer. They are just at such fun ages both together and separate. We feel so blessed.
