ACU Homecoming

We had a great time in Abilene a couple of weekends ago for ACU Homecoming. It was my ten year reunion. I felt a sense of sadness all weekend not having Kamara there, though. She was not able to go due to the risk of sickness for Ryleigh. Everybody asked about her and missed her right along with me. However, it was great to see some old friends and family. We drove into town on Thursday night so that Zack could go dove hunting with his Dad Friday morning and so I could go to the Queen Tea Friday afternoon. We got some great pictures with Zack's Iphone but unfortunately were not able to upload them. Hopefully, we can figure out how to post them later.

On Friday morning I went up to Zack's high school and Mom Mom and Aunt Lindsey's work. It was also their Homecoming so I got to be there for the fun pep rally. We then left so that Kate could play some on the playground. It was neat to witness something that was a big part of Zack's life and is still a big part of Aunt Lindsey and Debbie's life.

Friday night we went to the Homecoming Carnival where Kate loved petting the animals and getting her face painted. She was so serious while the girl was painting her face. I felt like she was getting her ears pierced. The sucker was a good distraction. She wasn't sure what was going on.

We got both girl's faces painted. Go ACU!

I had a good time at the Kojie breakfast on Saturday morning. It was really early, but worth it to see some old friends and talk about memories.

It was not the same without Kamara there. We left a place for her in this picture. We had many pictures of the three of us in college. Holly looked so cute pregnant all weekend. She will be having her sweet baby boy any day now! Kudos to her for coming to Homecoming!

Kate absolutely loved picking up all the candy in the street throughout the parade. At first she did not get the concept, but then she took do it like a pro! Annie Clark was really sweet and would share her candy with Kate. Kate also enjoyed holding her balloon. Notice that both kids are dressed in purple and white. Purple, white, purple, white, FIGHT! FIGHT!FIGHT!

Zack wanted me to stand in front of the Stomp group walking by during the parade. Kamara and I participated in this group in college. A lot of our friends love to give us a hard time about it. It was actually a lot of fun!
Hopefully, I can post some pictures later!
