Life with Our Three Girls

We have been enjoying our life with three girls. Kate and Carly cannot get close enough to Claire. Carly absolutely loves to give Claire kisses and Kate loves holding her. It is going to be tough when one of them is sick! I can see why the youngest has the mentality that they do because Claire has no choice but to be laid back. I know I felt some of that when we had Carly, too.You learn to not sweat the small stuff with the youngest and to go with the flow. You realize that a lot of your worries that you had with your oldest will work themselves out. Claire has to just kind of go with our day. Right now it is nice because Claire is not on a schedule so she just will sleep anytime and anywhere. Claire sleeps a lot in the day and night. However, she still wakes up every 3-4 hours at night so our sleep is obviously lacking right now. Every once in awhile Claire will have a long wake time in the middle of the night like she has her days and nights confused. The good thing is that she will not be too fussy during that time just wide awake, and I feel bad just leaving her that way in a dark room. Carly has been having some nightmares, too, which adds to the lack of sleep. However, we have three healthy girls so we feel blessed. A couple of weeks ago Zack gave Claire a bottle for the first time and she took it like a champ. Since then I try to make sure that she has a bottle at least once a week. Carly never took one bottle, so this is a praise! Kate and Carly are also sleeping really well together now sharing a room. Carly is doing well being potty trained besides when she has a bowel movement. When that happens she will request for a diaper and to go outside for privacy which is kind of funny. Claire does not get upset that often except for the common issues: gas pains, burping or wanting to be fed. She isn't too crazy about baths either. Kate is loving preschool! She is always new things and we tell her to stop growing up! We just love our three girls! Here are some pictures from this past month.

Kate decided she wanted to plant some seeds that she found. She asked for the shovel and some water to plant them all by herself. Her Daddy has been a good example for her!

Claire's last time to sleep in our room. We moved her out of the pack and play and into her crib last Saturday night, October 6.

This made Kate so happy to have Claire sleeping on her chest. They stayed like  this for quite some time.

We love to tell Carly that she is crazy. Actually, both of our girls are pretty crazy and silly. They come by that honestly! Carly loves  to make this face and do this with her hands. It cracks us up!

Kate and Carly loved bundling up when the cold front came through last weekend. You gotta love Texas! You have the air conditioning on one night and the heat on another night.

I told the girls that they could make brownies with me and Kate took this very seriously. She went and got  dressed to  bake.

Claire has now out grown almost all of the newborn size clothes. I  felt rather sad passing them on to Kamara, especially the ones that I bought just for Claire. This was one of those outfits. I just love Claire in purple!

Claire, it is hard to believe that you are already one month old! You bring so much joy to our family. We are so thankful for you. We love you so much!
